The Speaker we have all been waiting for! Introducing the Linkwitz Orion 3.4 Open Baffle Dipole Speaker from Linkwitz Lab. 

Hasaudio are now offering the drivers utilized in this design with a 10% discount off the normal retail price. You save a total of $315.

What the kit includes:

4x Seas Excel T25CF002 Millennium Tweeters.

The T25CF002, “MILLENNIUM” is a 25mm soft dome tweeter with a novel Neodymium based magnet system. It also utilizes a unique HEXADYM magnet system (US Pat 6.020.805 ) based on 6 radially
magnetized NdFeB magnet blocks. Efficient ventilation and damping of every
potentially resonant cavity behind the dome, surround and voice coil. Moderate
magnetic stray fields present no problems in AV installations.

2x Seas Excel W22EX001 8" Woofers.

The Seas Excel W22-EX001 8" Woofer incorporates a precision cast and surface treated magnesium cone coupled to a natural rubber surround which shows no sign of midrange (edge) resonances. A truelly fantastic driver indeed.

4x Seas L26RO4Y 10" Subwoofers.

Specifically designed for the Orion 3.4 Loudspeaker, the L26RO4Y  is a 10" Super Long Stroke Subwoofer which utilizes a 4 layer voice coil and large roll over surround.

To meet these stringent demands, the L26RO4Y subwoofer builds upon the already excellent chassis, magnet system, cone, and surround of our L26ROY. An all new FEA designed spider and 4 layer voice coil wound on a stiff glass fibre former have been employed, resulting in a driver with ultra long throw, very low distortion, and extremely stable mechanical operation under all conditions; including open baffle systems.  The low Qts and Fs are ideally suited for active open baffle bass systems, but the L26RO4Y can also produce excellent results in enclosure based subwoofer and multi-way systems.

Sharing many of the same characteristics of its bigger brothers, the AT3000/AT2000 Series, this amplifier is capable of delivering the levels of power and high current performance found only in amplifiers costing thousands more.

ATI 1804 x2 $4900 (1 per channel)

Cabinets:

Flat Pack Cabinets can be arranged for those who donot have the equipment or experience to cut the cabinets themselves. A wide range of plywood, MDF, hardwood  is available and this of course will determine the cabinet cost. 

The flat pack cabinets will come pre-drilled where necessary(driver mounting). You will need to assemble and finish to your liking.

ASP:

When you purchase the Orion Construction Plans, you can opt to purchase the PCB needed for the crossover. SL will guide you in purchasing the components needed for this part of the speaker. You can also purchase a complete ASP from Wood Artistry.
